24th of September 2007: Tour-report
We just returned from a fun tour in Finland, Estonia and Latvia. A lot of things occured, strange things, surreal things, good things, sad things. Fire, water, earth and air. Hoping to get a diary and some pics up here soon.

21st of June 2007: New tracks...
... on our myspace-site. The tour in September is looking good. A few dates confirmed now.

12th of May 2007: First time in Estonia
Writing this on the ferry from Tallinn to Stockholm, we´ve just experienced a little of Estonia for the first time. We only played two concerts this time, but we´re heading back east in September for some more shows.
Thanks to those of you who danced like there were no tomorrow at our show in Tallinn last night. Great fun!

18th of March 2007: Cancellations
Unfortunately, the gigs at Sound of Mu and Ugglan has been cancelled. But the concert at Jazid in Oslo the 23rd is still on! Splitgig with Damp.

18th of December: Breathing out
Last night we finished the Nordic tour with a concert in Sandefjord, Norway, Jo´s hometown. Let´s just say that the last three weeks has been a true adventure, a fantastic journey for us. We wish to thank all of you who helped us by lending us equipment, letting us stay at your houses, organizing shows, food, promotion and whatever to make things happen.
And of course you who came to the concerts.
Thank you ever so much. Until we meet again.

28th of November: So it begins

We begin our tour with a concert at Nefertiti, Gothenburg tonight. Jugding by the new material, it´ll be harder than ever, but with that gentle Laser-touch.

The concert at Urijazz, Tønsberg, Norway, has been moved from the 12th to the 14th of December. Venue is the same, Maskinistenes hus.

15th of November: One more date...
We´ve added one more concert to the schedule, playing at Vanha Tuomari in Kuopio, Finland the 2nd of December. That´s it. 16 shows in 20 days in 5 countries. Have fun, go mad.

11th of November: Tour-news
The tourplan for november and december is now confirmed! Three weeks of Laser-joy and happiness around Scandinavia.
Our new record will be sold on this tour, however, if you are unable to catch us and still want to get your mama a christmas-present, email us with your contactinfo, and we´ll sort it out.

5th of October 06: Support

Laser has been granted financial support from the Nordic Culture Fund, meaning that there´s no turning back concerning the upcoming Scandinavian tour. More dates will be added shortly!

26th of September 06: Laser in Iceland
The Laserboys landed in Iceland yesterday, and went to swim right away. Here are some pictures, there will be more during the week. We are very exited about beeing here, and we are looking forward to the concert on thursday the 28th. Taking place at Q-bar, Reykjavik.
We´re also performing at the opening of the festival. wednesday the 27th, in Reykjavik City Hall.

9th of September 06: Denmark-gig
We´ve just confirmed our first gig in Denmark for the December tour! Laser plays in Esbjerg the 1st of December. We´re also probably playing in Copenhagen, stay tuned as the calendar is updated frequently.

22nd of August 06: Back from tour - small report
Today, we travelled back to Sweden and Norway after the two weeks in Finland. We´ve vistited some new places and returned to some familiar ones, and all in all, we are extremely satisfied! We can´t do anything but thank all of you who came to our concerts and made such wonderful evenings. And thanks so much to you who bought ALL our cds! We didn´t have any left for the last two shows, but remember that you can always order a copy by sending us an email.

Specifically thank yous goes out to:
- Miko - for lending us a bass-amplifier
- Ville - for letting us take over his house
- Jukkis - for helping us out in the studio
- the quick saxophone-fixer-man in Jyväskylä
- Paavo - for generally keeping us alive...
- Jussi - for the excellent welcoming in Joensuu
- the understanding taxi-driver in Helsinki

Without you things would have been different... and centainly more difficult for us. Thanks!

We originally planned to record an album in Jyväskylä, but the recording sessions were cancelled due to the fact that the hired technician didn´t show up... But luckily, we found Jukkis, who helped us record some tracks during one day. Some of these new demo-tracks will be avaliable on our myspace-site within a month or so.

Before we went off to Finland, we thought that we would take a lot of pictures, but, as time went by, we found that at the end, we have not taken any... If you, however, have any Laser-pictures to share, feel free to mail them to us. Maybe that way it will be possible to spread some of that wonderful Laser-joy.

And finally; we are extremely happy to announce that we´re performing at Reykjavik Jazzfestival on the 28th of September. As Andreas put it so beautifully; "now we finally will get the chance to understand why Siggi is the way he is..."

3rd of August 06: Finland-tour
Laser is about to take over Finland, all right. We´ll start out in Helsinki next wednesday and take it from there.
For you who saw us in Finland last time, don´t be afraid, we´ll play some brand new music that no-one´s heard before, and we´ll of course do some hits from the early Laser days...
Enough said, we are really looking forward to get back and to see the sunny side of Suomi. See you soon!!

Laser was formed in Gothenburg fall 2005 and is now geographically based in Gothenburg and Oslo.
Despite that Laser has only existed for a year, the band has already toured and performed for a lot of happy spectators in Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Estonia and Norway, as well as producing two cds the DIY-way.

Laser´s music is composed by the members of the
group. It might said to be jazz, though clearly
influenced by rock and free-improvised music and with an outgoing punk-like approach.
